About the Founder
Adam Grimm’s journey into wellness began during a transformative period in his life, leading to a 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force. As an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician, Adam served in active war zones and led the response team at Daniel K. Inouye (Honolulu) International Airport, developing resilience and leadership skills under intense pressure. Following his medical retirement in 2021, Adam channeled his experiences into advancing mental health and wellness initiatives in Hawai‘i.
Adam earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where he contributed to the CDC-funded Overdose Data to Action (OD2A)-Care Coordination and Capacity Building (C3) Project. His work focused on combating the opioid epidemic across O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, and Moloka‘i by fostering collaboration among law enforcement, educational institutions, and local organizations.
Adam also served as a research assistant for three years, delving into organizational wellness, lived experience, and preventative care within Hawai‘i’s non-profit sector. Now pursuing his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Hawai‘i School of Professional Psychology at Chaminade University, Adam balances his academic pursuits with his role at Hawai‘i Neuropsychology, where he supports patients with diverse mental health needs.
He has begun in-person psychoeducation sessions about wellness and action at the Present Mind Institute Hawaii, in Kaneohe, that you can participate in.
In addition, Adam is the founder of Pegasus Realm, a wellness research and consulting company dedicated to improving well-being through innovative, evidence-based practices. His work focuses on creating holistic wellness strategies for individuals and organizations, blending research, coaching, and a deep understanding of lived experience to enhance quality of life and foster adaptability and equity.
